Sustainable Development in Biofuel Production – New Challenges and Market Perspectives

Thank you for the invitation and the opportunity to lead a seminar organized by the Krajowa Izba Biopaliw as part of the industry training titled “Sustainable Development in Biofuel Production – New Challenges and Market Perspectives.”

At the event of the Polish Biogas Association, our company was represented by Dalibor Delong alongside our colleague Marcin Sikora from Rex Solutions Polska. In addition to Dalibor, Marta Dobrzańska from KZR INiG System and Adam Stępień, the Director General of KIB, also spoke at the event.

What was discussed at the meeting?

  • Biomethane production in the Czech Republic and Slovakia;

  • Market and feedstock for specific types of advanced biofuels;

  • CO₂ capture at facilities;

  • Legislation on sustainable development: the correlation between ETS, ESG, and the RED II directive;

  • Verification of business credibility within the KZR INiG system;

  • Emissions from agriculture and the status of national NUTS2 reports;

  • Changes in KZR certification resulting from the entry into force of the RED III directive;

  • The new European Commission strategy "Competitiveness Compass" in the context of biofuels and sustainable development.

“I was very pleased with the high level of expertise among the participants – their knowledge was inspiring and, at the same time, required me to focus on the details. I had to go really in-depth in my presentation while also overcoming the language barrier, so it was truly a challenge,” Dalibor Delong reflected on the event.
