Training in Klentnice: EU ETS II, UDB and Moravian hospitality

We wrapped up the year with a training session focused on the latest developments in sustainability, held at the Živá Pálava guesthouse in Klentnice.

The program began with a training on the EU ETS II (European Emissions Trading System). The discussion covered its impact on industry, current legislative changes, and challenges associated with the second phase of implementation. This was followed by a practical session on using the Union Database (UDB), a key tool for monitoring and managing emissions within the European Union. Participants particularly appreciated the concrete examples and the opportunity to practice working with the database through model scenarios.

After a demanding day, well-deserved relaxation was in order. In the evening, we visited the legendary Kafé Fara, renowned for its unique interior and excellent atmosphere. This stylish café in the heart of Pálava offered not only exceptional coffee and homemade desserts but also a highlight of the evening—a visit to the wine cellar of JH Hrnčíř Winery.

Mr. Hrnčíř, the owner and an experienced winemaker, guided us through a tasting of his selected wines. Each sample was accompanied by fascinating insights into the winery's history, production methods, and the specific characteristics of individual varieties. The pleasant atmosphere, the aroma of wine, and informal conversations provided the perfect conclusion to the day.
